VBS, the online TV channel from the guys at Vice Magazine, follows the band Gorgoroth and its frontman Gaahl deep within the snowy Norwegian wilderness.
The mini-documentary, lasting around 30 minutes, has its highs and lows, including certain moments in which some of the VBS people act like genuine morons. Still, (talk about biased feelings on everything metal) i loved the thing. It slowly builds up in a crescendo that finally soars to a completely fitting -yet unscripted- ending that gave me the chills.
It’s fully enjoyable by anyone, wheter he is into metal or not. Yet, they have rightfully titled it True Norwegian Black Metal.
